The best of both worlds.  Roosterkoek meets Garlic Bread.  In this instance - sweetchilli flavoured garlic butter...  Two South African braai favourites merged into the ultimate braai accompaniment.  Heat it directly on the braai grid or in the oven ~ see the heating instructions below.

  • STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS

    STORE IN A COOL, DRY PLACE AND USE WITHIN BEST BEFORE DATE. ONCE OPENED TRANSFER TO A SEALABLE, AIRTIGHT CONTAINER TO RETAIN FRESHNESS.

  • HEATING INSTRUCTIONS

    Remember, these roosterkoek have already been grilled - you only need to heat them through and let the butter melt...  Remove them from their packaging first - no foil required.

    Braai: Place the braai grid over evenly distributed direct coals and allow to heat for 5 minutes. Lightly grease the grid and place the rolls directly on it for about 5 minutes.

    Oven: Preheat oven to about 180ºC/350ºF.  Place directly onto an oven rack for about 5 - 7 minutes.

    It's recommended to turn them over half way through to assist the butter to coat each side evenly.

    Serving Suggestion: cut them along the grill lines to make little finger sandwiches, one is good to share as a snack...
